Exercise Programs:
One of our goals at Delaware Sports Medicine is to improve your function, fitness, and performance. Exercise programs vary with a lot of factors including age, fitness level, injury history, available exercise equipment, or upcoming competitions. We're excited to offer three new programs that can be customized to fit your needs.
Focus on Function
The aches and pains of life can make you avoid your usual daily activities and become more sedentary. The answer to living a more active life with less pain and dysfunction isn't less movement; it's more of the movements that help heal you. Our Focus on Function program is designed for people who want to feel better doing life's normal daily activities. This holistic program is divided into two 6-week phases. Phase 1 focuses on improving movement patterns, mobility, and balance. Phase 2 focuses on integrating your new pain-free function into your daily activities so that you can start living your best life!
Return to Fit
You don't have to be a professional athlete to care deeply about taking care of your body to be as fit and strong as you want it to be. Whether it's lifting weights. running, taking group fitness classes, or being active with your family, injuries, and pain can force you to modify or even completely stop doing the activities you enjoy. Our Return to Fit program is designed to help you get back to the strongest, fittest, pain-free version of yourself that matches your goals. The program is divided into two 6-week phases. Phase 1 focuses on improving movement patterns, mobility, and balance while maintaining your existing fitness levels. Phase 2 focuses on challenging your new movement to build towards your personal functional fitness goals.
Ready to Perform
Over time, hard competition can take its toll on even the most dedicated athlete resulting in significant pain and dysfunction in the body. Our innovative Ready to Perform program is designed for competitive athletes who want to get back into training, competing, and feeling better than ever! The program is divided into two 6-week phases. Phase 1 focuses on improving movement patterns, mobility, and balance while maintaining your existing fitness levels. Phase 2 focuses on challenging your new movement and building a logical, incremental program to re-enter the competitive playing field.
